Grab and Go Meal Locations - Update from Local District Northwest

This is an important message for parents, guardians and school staff on behalf of Local District Northwest. The Districts’ Family Resource Centers will now be Grab and Go Sites, providing meal distribution. Starting tomorrow, between 7:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m., families can stop by one of our sites and pick up two meals daily. District staff, in collaboration with the Red Cross, will be on site to support the distribution of the meals. All of our families are welcome to stop by and pick up 2 meals per child, as needed, during the District-wide closure. Local District Northwest Grab and Go Centers are:
Chatsworth HS, Columbus MS, Kennedy HS, Mulholland MS, Porter MS, Sepulveda MS, and Sutter MS.

Update regarding School Activities 3/13/20 @ 10:27

Effective Monday, March 16, all schools in Los Angeles Unified will be closed for the next two weeks, during which time we will continue to provide learning and support for students as our school district evaluates the appropriate next steps. Today will be a day unlike any other as we come together to help students prepare for continuing their learning at home during this two week period.

COVID-19 INFORMATION FROM DISTRICT NURSING SERVICES

LAUSD is monitoring the situation and will provide updates as they become available.
The District has created a website https://achieve.lausd.net/latestnews (click on blue hyperlink above) which has information in English and Spanish.
Also, the District has established a COVID-19 hotline at 213-443-1300, which is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.

We are directing COVID-19 inquiries to the hotline as they have been set up to provide support and assistance to all callers in both English and Spanish.

Coffee with the Superintendent

Coffee with the Local District Northwest Superintendent is intended to be an
opportunity to meet with the LDNW staff to discuss current issues and exchange
information. Each meeting will include presentations by PACE, Operations,
Instruction, District/LD staff, and Superintendent Joseph Nacorda. Board
Member representatives will also provide updates. These meetings will give parents the opportunity to provide input on new and continuing initiatives, and discuss the impact at the local schools.
